We welcome the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire and guests from the County to Halifax Minster as Dr Ingrid Roscoe hosts this very special service to Launch the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Year in the County of West Yorkshire.

A specially commissioned anthem composed by Dr Simon Lindley will be sung for the first time by choirs from Halifax Minster, The Minster Chamber Choir, Bradford Cathedral and Leeds Parish Church.

The preacher will be The Bishop of Wakefield.

If you intend being at this service please be at church and seated by 2.30pm. The service will last approximately 2 hours which includes the firework watching time.

There is plenty of parking around the church - King Street, Mulcture Hall Road and Eureka car park.

Calderdale MBC car parks are free on Sundays. Eureka Car park - there will be a charge.
