WELCOME to The Minster Church of St. John the Baptist Halifax
Nestling in the heart of the Calder Valey there has been a place of worship and prayer at the site of St John the Baptist, Halifax for over 900 years.
One of the country's newest Minsters, Halifax Parish Church was given Minster status in November 2009.

Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee

The Minster will be the venue for the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, and guests from the county, to Launch the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Year celebrations in the county of West Yorkshire.
The Minster Choir, the Chamber Choir, Bradford Cathedral and Leeds Parish Church will perform for the first time a specially commissioned anthem composed by Dr Simon Lindley.
Come and join in the celebration.
